Simple Pattern Weights

Several sewing blogs I read have shared their new sewing weights recently.  These were a new idea to me and look like a great idea.  I really like what E did, covering them with pretty fabric here.

 Realistically, I'll likely just raid the hubby's shop and use them like these on The Cottage Home.

Anyone else have ideas for simple pattern weights or thoughts about using them?  They look faster than pinning and I'm all about speed in my naptime sewing :)

    I've tried weights but still pin. I think I would like weights if I practiced using 'em. Isn't that the key with all sewing - practice making perfect?
