Apron Love

Anyone else out there love to wear an apron around the house?  The women in my family have always worn them in the kitchen, so it's always been habit for me.  After taking a womens' class from church I decided to make aprons as gifts for our teachers, who had given us a cooking lesson before the Bible study.  You can also learn how to cook by taking some courses from this site.
They were much appreciated, but I was surprised how other young women in the class did not even own an apron!  They have become vogue again because APRONS ROCK!  I am in need of more full aprons because I'm so messy and found a few great tutorial lists.

I was lucky enough to win one of Sew, Mama, Sew's giveaways from Becky at Sew In Stitches and love the aprons she made for me & the kids.  Sorry, no picts of these yet, but we sure like them. Thanks again, Becky!

Adorable! I just ordered a sewing machine and can't wait to learn how to use it!

My mother didn't wear an apron. She thought it was too "country/poor people" for her. Yeah, she's a snotty snob. But I did have an apron wearing Grandma and "auntie."

I too love the wearing of the aprons. Glad you all like yours! That was like a year ago wasn't it? Can't wait to see pictures :)

For anyone who doesn't know, tipnut.com is an amazing resource for all sorts of domestic things. I have used quite a bit of paper and ink printing out their free patterns! (Including the 50+ aprons!)

Thanks for the sweet mention!

Yes I have on store bought boring apron thats pink denim. And I have two great hand made aprons from my mom. She also made 3 little aprons for my 3 youngest. They love to cook with me and always put there aprons on because I always have one on when cooking. I would love to have more and try making one on my own.
